Terms and Conditions

Last updated 4 October 2026

Summary

These terms govern your use of the Self-Driven Recovery ("SDR") websites, the free SDR web app and display, and any hardware you order from us. By using the site or placing an order you agree to them. SDR is a prompting tool, not a medical service: it shows the program you or your clinician set, at the cadence you choose. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional care.

1. Who we are

The site and the SDR service are operated by Bayani Mills, trading as Self-Driven Recovery ("we", "us", "our"), a sole trader registered in Australia.

You can reach us at any time through our contact form.

2. The free web app and display

  • Free to use, no account. The web app at /web and the display at /display are provided free of charge. You do not need to register, and we do not ask for payment details to use them.
  • Session links are the key. When you save a program, SDR issues private editor and display links. Anyone who holds a link can use it. Share the display link only with the people who should see the program, and keep the editor link private.
  • Your content. You are responsible for the exercises, labels, names, and timing you enter. Do not enter information about another person unless you are entitled to do so.
  • Availability. We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Sessions that go unused for 120 days are deleted automatically, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Changes. We may change, suspend, or retire features of the free service at any time.

3. Not medical advice

SDR displays prompts. It does not create, assess, or supervise a recovery program. The exercise catalogue is a set of generic labels and cues; it is not a prescription and has not been reviewed for your circumstances.

  • Follow the program set by your treating physiotherapist, occupational therapist, doctor, or other clinician, and ask them before starting or changing any exercise.
  • Stop and seek medical help if an activity causes pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any new symptom.
  • SDR is not a monitoring, alarm, or emergency device. It cannot tell whether an exercise was done, done safely, or done at all.

To the extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility for any injury or loss that results from relying on SDR in place of professional advice.

4. Hardware orders

  • Prices. Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST. Hardware is shown on the product page and ships free. Prices may change without notice, but a change does not affect an order that has already been paid.
  • Payment. We accept Bitcoin only, via Lightning or on-chain payment, processed through coinos.io. The Bitcoin amount is converted from the AUD price at the BTC/AUD rate when the order is created, and is then fixed. An order is confirmed once the payment is received and, for on-chain payments, has at least one network confirmation.
  • Unpaid invoices. A Lightning invoice that expires unpaid cancels the order automatically. Nothing is charged and you can generate a fresh invoice from the checkout page. Unpaid orders are deleted automatically, and the name, email and address on them are erased within about a week of expiry.
  • Order link and tax invoice. After checkout you receive a private order link. We do not send email automatically, so save the link: it shows your payment instructions until you pay, and then your confirmation, which shows the GST component and can be printed as a tax invoice. If you pay an order that has already been cancelled, we will refund it by hand.
  • Shipping. We ship within Australia only, by tracked post from Sydney. Orders are typically dispatched within two business days of payment confirmation. Delivery times depend on the carrier and destination and are not guaranteed.
  • Address accuracy. Please check the shipping address before paying. We are not responsible for parcels delivered to an address you supplied incorrectly.

5. Returns, faults, and refunds

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

  • Faulty on arrival or within 12 months. Contact us with your order number and a short description. We will repair, replace, or refund, and we cover the return postage.
  • Change of mind. Contact us within 30 days of delivery. Unused hardware in its original condition can be returned for a refund; you cover the return postage.
  • How refunds are paid. Refunds are paid in Bitcoin to a Lightning invoice or on-chain address you provide, at the AUD value paid for the refunded amount, converted to Bitcoin at the rate when the refund is sent.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to access another person's session, editor link, order, or the administrative console.
  • Probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the service, or bypass its rate limits and security measures.
  • Use the service to store or display content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights.
  • Resell the free service or present it as your own.

7. Intellectual property

The SDR name, design, software, and exercise catalogue are owned by us or used under licence. You may use them as part of the service for personal, clinical, or care purposes. Open-source components included in the software remain under their own licences. The program content you create is yours.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded. Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The free service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from reliance on the service, from unavailability, or from unauthorised use of a session link you shared.
  • Our total liability in connection with a hardware order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

9. Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the last revision. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. Orders are governed by the terms in force when the order was paid.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of New South Wales, without limiting any consumer rights you hold in your own country.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms, an order, or a return: use the contact form and include your order number if you have one.
